This past Saturday morning my phone rang. It was the owner of the daycare/dog park where Lolly spends some of her time.
"I have an unusual request," she said. "There is a dog birthday party in the dog park this afternoon and the owner would like Lolly to come." Apparently Lolly must play with the birthday dog.
So we took Lolly to her first birthday party. It was for Zion's 10th birthday - I think he was some kind of poodle mix. Zion's owner had bandanas for all the dogs to wear and gift bags for all the guests (containing a puppy treat shaped like a cupcake and a poop bag.)
At one point there must have been at least 15 dogs ranging in size from Boxer to Chihuahua. Lolly and the dogs had fun chasing each other around. We stayed a little over an hour and Lolly was exhausted.
Eric and I are amused that Lolly also seems to be developing quite an active social calendar!
